This tour takes you on a quest to discover the magnificent Huacamaillo Waterfalls, hidden amidst the enchanting Peruvian jungle. ITINERARY
We will begin the tour by picking you up at your hotel to leave the city of Tarapoto and head to the town of San Pedro de Cumbaza.
In this place is the entrance to the Huacamaillo Catarata reserve, where we will begin a 2-hour walk.
Along the way, we will cross the Cumbaza River several times and make a couple of stops to observe the landscape and take some photographs, in addition to cooling off from the walk.
Once we reach the 20-meter waterfall, we can bathe and rest for a moment during the tour. It is a waterfall usually frequented by people from the region and not as crowded as other better-known destinations. This 20-meter waterfall, offers a tranquil sanctuary for a rejuvenating bath and a well-deserved rest. Unlike more crowded tourist hotspots, this hidden gem is a favorite among locals, providing a peaceful and authentic experience.
Then, we will return along the same path to take the transportation and go to lunch.
After this break, we will continue our way back to Tarapoto, where the activity ends.
