Visit the establishment of a traditional family undertaking. Go over the facilities and vineyards, and see the production. Tannat, is the iconic Uruguayan vine and it is considered in many contests better qualified that the original French vine.
The winery was built in 1942 by the visionary Numa Pesquera. It is similar to the French chateaux. This family already handled the concept of 'fine wine' then, an innovative idea for Uruguayan wines. It was restored in 2002, keeping its original structure.
In Bodega Bouza, in addition to the guided tour around the winery and the various vineyards, you will have the chance to appreciate the family's great collection of vintage cars, which is displayed in the large museum and that comprises more than 30 cars and motorcycles SINCE the 1920s ABOVE that are characteristic of life in Uruguay SINCE the 30s on. It is a place that you really can't miss.
