Walking through the streets of Sao Luis Historical Center is like experiencing literarious and religious sceneries. Taste the local cuisine and see how Maranhão welcomes its visitors. The city is an island that enchants for its beauty, legends and history. Surrounded by warm water beaches all year, Sao Luis, City Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2007, offers visitors centuries-old streets with colonial buildings and tiles.
Itinerary: Departure from the hotel, past the Calhau beach, San Marcos, Ponta D'areia and Jansen Lagoon, to the Historical Center, walk through the cobbled streets of hewn stone. On the tour you will visit the main points of the city, places that keeps evidence of the history of Sao Luis.
Please note that there are some hotels in the city that are not included in our pickup routes. If your hotel is not included, we will contact you to inform you of the closest pick up location. We ask that you to wait for the guide at the lobby of the indicated hotel.
The Palace of the Lions (Wednesday to Sunday) and the Arthur Azevedo Theatre (Monday to Friday) are open to visitors only in the afternoon, from 14h. At Mondays museums are closed for maintenance.
