The Amalfi Coast is an endless cliff overlooking the sea, dotted with picturesque towns nestled in the mountains, between terraces of lemon trees and waterfalls of bougainvilleas. Without a doubt one of the most dazzling coastal stretches in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover this charming coastline traveling from Rome by high-speed train in a group of no more than 15 people to Salerno.
Come to our meeting point and board the train to Salerno with our tour leader. Time will fly and once in Salerno, arrive at the port where you will take the ferry to Amalfi. Traveling by ferry is the best way to move from one place to another and get the best views of the coast.
Enjoy the trip along the coast until we reach Amalfi, where we will make some stops. Arrive in Amalfi, the 'white city', with an ancient maritime tradition, to admire its beautiful cathedral dedicated to Saint Andrew, in the Byzantine-Norman style. Paradise of spontaneous Mediterranean architecture, with its alleys that look like a kasbah and remind us of North Africa. Amalfi is not only famous for its lemons, but also for being one of the most exclusive summer destinations in southern Italy. You will have free time to explore the city, its public squares, shops and the cathedral.
Then hop on another ferry and arrive at the most popular spot on the Amalfi Coast, Positano. Once there you will understand why. It is full of colorful buildings, shops and sandy beaches. Marina Grande beach is located at the base of Positano and is the most recognized beach in the city.
After spending approximately 2 and a half hours in Positano, you will return to Salerno by boat and head to the train station. Hop on your high-speed train and you'll be in Rome around 8:30 p.m.
Please note that the tour DOES NOT include pick up at the hotel
