The Colonial Roots Tour excites both adults and children!
A true journey back to the origins of Italian colonization in the municipality of Gramado. Traveling through the Linha Furna and Linha Bonita areas, visitors can experience the cultural heritage of the immigrants, passed down from generation to generation to this day. The typical architecture, warm hospitality, and a delicious colonial coffee make this tour an unforgettable experience.
Highlights - Discover the attractions along the route
1 - Centenary House: With typical Italian architecture, the Centenary House enchants visitors. Built in wood on top of a stone cellar (where wine, cheese, and salami are still preserved to this day), it tells part of the story of Gramado and its settlers.
2 - Fioreze Museum: The museum’s founder was only 12 years old when, driven by the desire to become a collector, he began gathering and preserving objects. Over the years, Mr. Nelson Fioreze has proudly built a collection of antique pieces he now shares with visitors.
3 - BenVic Winery - Covichion Family (Family Agroindustry):
Located in the charming Linha Furna, in Gramado/RS, BenVic Winery is the first agroindustry in the region certified for organic juice and wine production. The project began with a local initiative to supply organic juice to schools, driving sustainable and pioneering production since 2021. The name BenVic is a tribute to the family’s children: Benjamin, Victoria, and Victor, symbolizing affection and continuity in every bottle.
4 - Caffè Della Nonna - Foss Family: The Italian people are famous for their hospitality and love of gathering friends at home to celebrate. That’s exactly how the Foss Family welcomes visitors into their residence, offering the delicious Caffè Della Nonna with freshly baked bread from the wood-fired oven, fruit jams, fresh butter, cheeses, salami, cooked sausages, and much more. Of course, we can’t forget the polenta, a true emblem of Italian cuisine.
Included drinks: apple and cinnamon tea, lemon balm tea with vanilla, black coffee, café au lait, grape juice, dry and sweet red wine.
Lots of music, joy, and participation as everyone sings 'La Bella Polenta' and has fun with the family.
