We will visit the highest mountain in Latin America with 6.970 mts of altitude crossing to Argentina, an amazing and unique tour that will take you through part of the history of Chile and with natural landscapes never seen before.
Excursion Itinerary: Santiago - Aconcagua - Portillo
05:30 am - Start the pick up at the hotels. Our guide will pick you up at your accommodation to start this exciting adventure.
Stop at Servicentro - We will make a brief stop at a servicentro so you can take a break. During this time you can have breakfast, use the restrooms and withdraw money at ATM's (Note: breakfast is not included in the service).
Stop at Chacabuco Monument - We continue the tour with a stop at the Chacabuco Monument, a historical site that commemorates the Battle of Chacabuco, a key milestone in Chile's independence.
Stop at Salto del Soldado - Next, we head to one of the natural wonders of the region: Salto del Soldado, a spectacular waterfall surrounded by a breathtaking mountain setting.
Border Crossing - Argentina - We will cross the border into Argentina, where we will begin to enjoy the landscapes and natural beauty of the Andes on the Argentine side.
Visit to Aconcagua Park - Upon arrival at Aconcagua Park, we will embark on a trek of approximately 3 hours, where we can explore the area and enjoy panoramic views of the majestic Aconcagua mountain, the highest peak in America.
Lunch Stop - After the hike, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy regional cuisine (lunch not included).
Border Crossing - Chile - We return to Chile, crossing the border again to continue our exploration of this wonderful region.
Visit to Laguna del Inca and Portillo - The last stop of our tour will be at Laguna del Inca, a beautiful water mirror surrounded by mountains, followed by a visit to the famous Portillo ski resort, one of the most exclusive destinations in the Andes.
Return to Santiago - Finally, we will return to Santiago, where we are expected to arrive in the evening, concluding this incredible tour full of nature, history and spectacular views.
Recommendations:
- The tour takes place only between the months of October and April due to weather conditions.
- The exact schedule and guide will be informed 1 day before at 20:30 hours.
- Bring a jacket, comfortable clothes, sneakers, water, cash and supplies if you want for the morning.
Please note:
- Infants from 0 to 2 years old free without seat, if you request the same you will have to pay an extra at destination.
Conditions:
- Not suitable for people with high blood pressure or other medical conditions.
- Not recommended for people with flights departing on the same day, as there may be problems en route and this may cause unexpected delays.
- The tour operates under optimal weather conditions. In case of rain or snow, the route is usually closed. If this happens, the tour may be rescheduled or a refund may be requested.
- The tour departs with a minimum group size of 4. If the minimum group size is not reached, we will notify you one day in advance to arrange a change.
- Please note that the trekking takes place at an altitude of approximately 3,000 meters, so it is recommended to walk slowly and bring water.
- Bring your passport, comfortable clothing, sneakers, and a jacket.
