Did you know that Christopher Columbus on his return from his voyage to America chose the port of Barcelona to disembark? To remember this fact we suggest you visit the monument dedicated to this illustrious character. The statue commemorates this milestone supposedly pointing to the new continent, although in reality America is just in the opposite direction!
At the top you will be able to enjoy 360º views that will surprise you. For example, to the north you will see the Gothic Quarter with the bell towers of the Cathedral, Santa Maria del Mar and La Mercè or the popular Rambla de Barcelona; to the south you will see the mountain of Montjuïc, crowned by the castle and home to museums, gardens, theaters and the Olympic Ring. And if you look down you will see the Atarazanas reales building that houses the Maritime Museum.
Looking east, following the coastline, you will distinguish the modern Forum area with its characteristic photovoltaic panel and skyscrapers. Closer, the twin towers indicate the entrance to the Olympic Port. At your feet you will see the Port Vell and the industrial port. Finally, to the west over the city you will see the natural park of Collserola, the immense green lung that surrounds Barcelona, with the Collserola Tower and the Tibidabo amusement park.

I would do it again, though I would change a couple of things. Of the whole route, Colón is what I remember most. The access to the Mirador de Colón detail adds a lot. Great value for money. We took loads of photos, the route hits all the right spots. Only gripe: the group was a bit larger than we expected.

Se pasó volando y nos quedamos con ganas de más. El salón de Colón es una joya en sí mismo. La atención previa a la reserva fue muy clara con todas nuestras dudas. Nuestro guía tenía un manejo del grupo impecable, nadie quedó atrás. El postre fue lo más flojo de la cena.

Valeu cada centavo. Usamos acesso ao Mirador de Colón o tempo todo e funcionou perfeitamente. Dá para fazer tranquilo sem preparo físico. Dava para ver que o guia era da região, contava de primeira mão. Super recomendado.
