Full day tour to Quilotoa Lagoon

Three hours away from Quito, the Ilinizas Ecological Reserve is located.
Inside this biodiverse place, there is a lake in the crater of a volcano called Quilotoa. What is most impressive about this place is the beautiful turquoise lagoon illuminated by the sun. On this day trip you will enjoy the culture and nature of the Andes, its mountain range and its communities.

Itinerary
We will leave Quito early in the morning and take the Panamerican Highway heading south. A short stop is included at the beginning to buy something to eat (food not included), to use the restrooms and to use the ATM. Afterwards, we will head towards the Ilinizas Ecological Reserve. The trip will include the following stops:

First stop: Traditional páramo dwelling. In this place it will be possible to learn about the breeding and care of guinea pigs, and also learn about the agricultural culture of the area.

Second stop: Handicraft workshop in the community of Tigua. Cradle of artists and
artists and artisans. Inside this gallery, you can find different types of articles and handmade crafts.

Third stop: Viewpoint of the Toachi River Canyon. On our way to Quilotoa,

Fourth stop: Crater and turquoise lagoon. Upon arrival at Quilotoa, an adventurous hike will take us to the shore of the lagoon. There are several trails to choose from. The trail will be taken depending on the weather and the level of difficulty tolerated by travelers (entrance fee included).
