Full day tour to the town of Mindo

Visit the impressive cloud forest of Mindo. This beautiful area is located in the heart of the Andean South American-Choco. You will see natural landscapes and do cool activities surrounded by nature.

Itinerary:
We will leave Quito early in the morning and take the northwest road. We will make a stop in Nanegalito to buy something to eat. We recommend you to try the local fruits (food not included). Get ready for an itinerary that includes hiking and bird watching. During this trip we will make the following stops

First stop: Alambi Hummingbird Reserve. On our way to Mindo,
we will make a stop at a secret garden with green landscapes inside the cloud forest. Here, we will enjoy bird watching and nature. Entrance fee $5.00 (entrance fee not included).

Second stop: The Butterfly Sanctuary. Once in Mindo, you will learn about the different types of species that exist in this diverse area of Ecuador. You will also be able to take pictures of them. Entrance fee $8.00 (entrance fee not included).

Third stop: Mindo-Nambillo Waterfall. First enjoy a breathtaking view of the cloud forest from the tarabita. After this short walk, we will walk along a trail to the waterfall. Enjoy the walk surrounded by dense forest. Entrance fee $5.00 (entrance included).

Fourth stop: Mindo local chocolate company. Visit a local Ecuadorian chocolate factory, where you will learn about the importance of cocoa, its process and taste the variety of high quality cocoa. Enjoy the mix of flavors and learn more about the different percentages of chocolates (short tasting included).
In the middle of this itinerary, you will enjoy a local lunch. We recommend you to try the fried trout which is the typical dish of the area. (Lunch not included).
