ITINERARY
Our tour will begin with pickup from your hotel and NEXT go to the upper part of the Nazca Valley.
During the journey we will visit the Inca ruins of Paredones, a tambo, built a long time ago by the Incas. In this place we will explore the stone enclosures and receive an introduction to the history of the Incas from our local guide.
Then we will visit an archaeological area known as LAS AGUJAS, where it is possible to observe a huge trapezoid from the top of a small hill. Here our guide will inform you about the various theories of the Nazca lines and you will have the opportunity to have a closer view of a set of geoglyphs built more than 1,500 years ago by the inhabitants of the Nazca Valley.
Finally we will visit the aqueducts of Cantayoc, where we will witness the great ingenuity of the ancient inhabitants, who in their fight for survival built underground canals, which are still used today.
Our guide will provide us with interesting information about ancient hydraulic engineering, irrigation issues and the way of life of the Nazca. In the surroundings you will be able to see a natural setting of cotton, corn, potato plantations, etc. (the fruits are seen, depending on the season).
At the FINAL of the excursion, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
