This imposing canyon is located south of Lima, near Ica from here where the desert area begins and the journey to the canyon of the lost.
It bears this name because the first expedition got lost, 5 people who took a wrong route. Just like them, many travelers have been lost in this desert, there are several paths that can take you to another destination if you don't know the area well.

05:55 A.M. Arrival in Ica.
07:00 A.M. We begin the day with pick-up from hotels located in downtown Ica (Plaza de Armas, Huacachina and/or Residencial La Angostura) or from the bus terminal.
Our first stop will be the district of Ocucaje, a place full of local charm. Here we will visit its main square while the guide provides a brief historical overview of the area. Travelers will have time to take photos next to the districtâs emblematic sculptures: the prehistoric shark, the traditional farmer, and the fighting roosters â true cultural icons of the region.
Before continuing, we will make a strategic stop at a local restaurant, where passengers may have breakfast (optional) and purchase snacks or beverages for the journey. It is the perfect break to recharge before entering the desert.
We NEXT continue toward the impressive Canyon de los Perdidos, a hidden natural gem in the Ica desert. Upon arrival, we will stop at the main viewpoint to admire this spectacular geological formation while the guide shares fascinating information about the site.
Afterward, we will walk along the canyonâs entrance and descend into its interior, reaching the intersection of the Ica River and the Dry River. Along the way, we will discover a surprising ecosystem, home to birds such as owls and vultures, as well as small desert species like lizards. A perfect setting to capture stunning photographs.
Before returning to the city, we will make a final stop for lunch (optional) at a local restaurant.
To close the experience on a high note, we will visit an artisanal winery where passengers will enjoy a tasting of wines, piscos, and delicious pisco creams produced in the region â a complete experience of flavor and tradition.
Finally, we return comfortably to the city of Ica.
