Description
The beaches of Normandy went down in history in 1944 when Allied forces landed to rescue Europe from Nazi invasion. You will start the tour by visiting Omaha Beach, where the Allied took advantage of the Germans. Then you will spend about an hour at the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer and go through the 10,000 white crosses with the name of the D-Day heroes on each. Visit of Arromanches-sur-Mer, where you can find the old artificial port used to supply the landed troops. A gourmet break will allow you to taste normal products such as crêpes and cider. You will visit the impressive Longues-sur-Mer battery. End of the excursion at the Juno Beach Center, witness of the Canadian soldiers struggle to FINAL the Nazi tyranny.

Aproveitamos muito, mas tem coisas a melhorar. O visita guiada à Praia de Juno veio incluído e é muito bem vindo. Mandaram todas as informações por email no dia anterior, bem claro. Minha única reclamação é que não avisaram da quantidade de escadas. Vale a pena, sabendo disso.

Ficamos com uma boa impressão. Sai mais que fazer solto, mas poupa toda a organização. Muito bom que incluía visita guiada ao Cemitério Americano de Colleville-sur-Mer. O salão de Normandia é uma joia em si. Um detalhe: os assentos não são os mais confortáveis num trajeto longo. Recomendo no geral.

Boa experiência, com um detalhe que vale saber antes. O tempo em Santuário Natural de Allied Normandy Landings foi suficiente para aproveitar de verdade. É mais acessível do que parece, não precisa ser atleta. Pagamos bem menos que outras opções e a experiência foi igualmente boa. O guia cumpriu o papel, sem ser marcante. Faltou um pouco mais de tempo livre no final. Recomendo, com as ressalvas que fiz.
